Bathroom Renovation with Structural Water Damage Remediation

Our client’s shower was cracked and leaking. The leak had caused significant damage to the underlying structure. To eliminate all of the water damage from the framing we replaced two layers of subfloor and a section of floor plate from the base of the exterior wall of the house. The floor joists showed very minimal signs of exposure to moisture so instead of replacing them we sister each of the joists with new 2x8’s held together with several large diameter carriage bolts. After thoroughly rehabilitating the framing we rebuilt the subfloor, replaced the shower and rebuilt the surrounding walls. We performed all work in-house. This included demo, waste removal, framing, minor plumbing, flooring, installation of the new shower, drywall repair, taping and plasterwork, trim carpentry, and painting. Get in touch with us today and we’ll be happy to take care of your project from framing to painting and all phases in between!
