ARTISAN REPAIRS AND RENOVATIONS LLC
Art Studio Renovation
Our clients wanted to insulate and renew their art studio. After developing a start-to-finish plan we started by tearing out the existing wall sheathing and the decayed old fiberglass insulation. We cleared the wall cavities of dust and debris before batting in new Rockwool insulation. While Rockwool is slightly more expensive than fiberglass batting, its superior performance, durability and longevity make it a far better value in most cases. New sheathing was cut and hung which we painted with high-end Sherwin Williams primer and paint. Specialized paint and primer were chosen for their enhanced vapor retardance, and stain repellence properties. We finished the project with new windows to achieve our goal of optimizing insulation and the user experience of the space.
